Magic Man gives Princess her Magical Wings
The Wizard was doing lots of research in the study
He needed to know if the mysterious elixir could be made to help the Princess
And if it could, HOW?!
But the Wizard knew the Princess wanted more than just research and wizard work, and he worked on other things too
He wanted to impress the Princess very much
He thought she was the most amazing, wonderful, beautiful Princess ever and he thought of cool things and gifts for her
He knew that one thing the Princess loved was when he cast the spell to give her pink butterfly wings made of magic!
It was a spell he learned from the fey!
He knew that he needed arcane energy to make it work
But that it wouldn’t last as long as he would like, and the Princess deserved to have her wings more often!
So he figured out that he could bind the spell to an item!
That way maybe the Princess could use it
But what would the Princess like?
And what would work with the spell?
First he tried a book
But the Fey don’t like books
So the spell made the book sprout wings instead!
That wouldn’t do!
Then the Wizard tried a crown
Because a Princess would appreciate a crown
But the spells of the fey tend to be wild and have their own wills
So the crown allowed the spell
But it made the wearer grow wings out of their head!
That wasn’t right!
Then the Wizard tried putting the spell into a robe the Princess could wear
But the robe sprouted wings and flew away!
The Wizard was getting frustrated!
The Wizard tried putting the spell into a gem
And that worked!!!
But what to do with the gem?
The Wizard thought long and hard about what the Princess would like
He knew the Princess loved rings
But he wasn’t sure if the Princess would think a ring was too much
He decided that he would try it
He cast magic into the gem, and cast it into a silver band
Silver would help keep the spell stable!
Then he put two mana gems on either side of the stone, so they would give the fey spell gem power if it needed it
He tried on the ring on his littlest finger
No wings grew out of his head, his clothes stayed on, and he didn’t turn into a butterfly
So the Wizard called that a win!
The ring worked perfectly!
The Wizard waited until the Princess came down from her castle, and showed the Princess the ring
She loved it!
And she especially loved the pink in it!
She put it on her hand and she gave the Wizard a great big hug!
The Wizard told her it was magic and that made her even more excited!!!
He told her that all she had to do was to imagine herself feeling better, and lighter, and flying, and she would!
The Princess closed her eyes and did just that, until the wings sprouted from her back, pink and glowing and ethereal!
The Princess laughed and soared above the castle, looking at everything and flying higher and for longer than she ever had before
She felt like it would never end!
She flew back down to the Wizard and imagined landing and she did! And the wings disappeared
She gave the Wizard another great big hug and asked if she would be able to fly all the time from now on
The Wizard told her as long as she let the ring recharge and she was with him, she would always have her pink butterfly wings
The Princess felt so amazing and loved the present and the Wizard being thoughtful so much that she began floating again on accident!
The Wizard helped show her how to use it and before long she was flying everywhere!
She even picked up the Wizard and flew him around!
Eventually she was able to fly so fast that the guineabear Lucy had a hard time keeping up
The Princess had her new ring and her butterfly wings and they weren’t going anywhere
She loved seeing what else the Wizard was going to show her, and looked forward to giving him something awesome too
