The Chimp Sage

Now where were we in the story……

The Wizard and the Princess had joined forces

And they were going to try to break the curse the witch put on her

And defeat the chimp army

Well the Wizard had an idea, he would seek out powerful artifacts to help break the curse

He had given the Princess a magic cloak, imbued with his magic so she would always be warm and feel safe like she was in his arms

He had given her a magic mirror so she could always talk to him

Next he had the idea to send her magic every day that he found it in the world

He would send her visions and enchantments of the magic flowers and herbs and things he saw on his quest to find things that would help her break her curse

Eventually he had an idea for a very strong spell that would help, and he had to leave on a quest to search for it

The Princess was sad that she couldn’t go and be with the Wizard, but she was looking at her own solutions too!

She wanted to be able to fight the chimp army and help remove her curse too

She visited an apothecary, and an alchemist, hoping that they would have medicines and herbs and magics that would help

But the witches’ chimp army had stolen all of their medications!

So she had to find an alternative

She heard of a legend, of an ancient plant that would help reduce the effects of any curse, and help her feel better

So she set out on an expedition to find this her. And to bring it back for herself and her people

First she visited the apothecary, but he said he didn’t know anything

Then he asked his brother and he didn’t know either

Then she went to the alchemist, but he didn’t know anything either

According to the legend, the ancient plant could be found within the jungle

So she went to the jungles, deep in chimp territory, looking for this ancient medicine

She took her swords with her and cut down any chimp in her way!

It was exhausting work, and many nights she wanted to sleep, but couldn’t because of the curse and the chimps hiding in the forest

Until eventually she found a field, covered in green, giving off a scent she hadn’t come across before

There was a chimp sage among the plants! He claimed that long ago he had given up his chimp ways, and merely wished to tend the land and care for the plants

The Princess asked if she could take some of the plants with her, for she hoped that they would help her feel better

The sage said of course she could, and that he hoped if her kingdom fought off the chimps that he would be remembered, and have a place within her kingdom

The Princess promised the chimp sage that he would, and that he would be welcomed with open arms

She took the herbs back to the kingdom, careful not to use them until she was sure they were safe

The apothecary and the alchemist hadn’t seen such herbs!

They vowed to try them first in case it was a ruse by the chimps to strike the Princess down!

But they felt nothing bad, they only felt very relaxed and floaty!

As if they were on a cloud or in a fog

But this sounded like just what the Princess needed

She could make the curse less powerful by making herself relax

The curse would begin to relax too, because it couldn’t keep tightening its grip on her mind and spirit

So the Princess tried the herb that the chimp sage gave her, and she felt much better!

She knew it wasn’t a cure, but that it helped a lot

And she vowed that the herb and the Chimp Sage and his students who grew it would always have a place within her kingdom!

The Princess thought of the Wizard, and she knew that he would be happy that she found something that helped weaken the curse and made her feel better

She put on her magic cloak, and felt his warmth around her, and his arms holding her and making her feel safe

She looked at her magic mirror, and sent him messages letting him know that she was thinking about him, and showed him what she was doing and how her kingdom was faring under the chimp assault

The Wizard sent magic messages back to her

Telling her how much he cared about her

And the magic flowers he had seen and sampled for magic that he knew she would love

And telling her that curse or not, he would always want to be by her side, and he would always be her Wizard

The Princess felt better, and felt the curse beginning to slip from her

It was still there, but it began losing its power, ever so slightly

She told the Wizard that she cared about him too, and was hoping they could be together again, and travel the worlds defeating chimps

She looked forward to him coming home to her, and she knew that he would always do his best to help, no matter what

They would always be Wizard and Princess together
